Why the period?

When I named treat. Skin & Body, LLC.,I insisted on the period.

Yes, there is the play on words. The sweetness. The happiness the word carries. A treat is a good thing. Treating yourself is a good thing. There is nothing better than a treat.

But that is only half of it. The other half is what I actually do for a living.

I treat.

The period is the reason the name works.

It is objective.

It is an outcome.

It is a result. A cause that produces an effect.

I wanted subjectivity out of the treatment room.

That is what makes skin confusing for people. The gray area. The noise. The endless variables that live inside every individual face.

A client cannot be expected to sort through all of that and choose correctly.

Neither can a provider who is guessing.

So the treatment room is where the subjectivity gets named and set aside.

The client and I sit with the variables together:

Lifestyle. History. Goals. Budget. Timing. Tolerance.

We identify what is subjective, and then we build the plan around what is objective.

What the skin needs.

What the evidence supports.

What the sequence should be.

That is the work.

Correct. Prevent. Maintain.

I am not a woo girl.

I am not selling a vibe.

I am not here to romanticize your face back to you.

I treat. Period.
