Gender-Affirming Care at
treat. SKIN & BODY

Hair removal can be an important part of feeling comfortable in your skin.

At treat. Skin & Body, laser hair removal is performed with a medical approach - focusing on predictability, safety, and long-term outcomes rather than temporary cosmetic reduction.

We routinely work with clients seeking hair removal as part of gender-affirming care and understand the consistency and documentation required for insurance reimbursement.

Our goal is simple: clear communication, reliable treatment intervals, and results you can depend on.

What to Expect

Treatment plans are individualized based on hair density, hormonal influence, and skin response. Most areas require a series of treatments performed at medically appropriate intervals to achieve stable reduction.

We prioritize:

  • consistent settings

  • full coverage patterns

  • conservative skin safety

  • gradual permanent reduction rather than aggressive short-term clearance

Because facial hair often has deeper follicles and stronger growth cycles, treatment plans are designed with patience and predictability in mind.

Insurance & Payment

treat. SKIN & BODY operates as an out-of-network provider.

Payment is collected at the time of each visit.  After your appointment, you will receive a detailed medical receipt (superbill) that can be submitted to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement under gender-affirming care benefits.

Please note:

• We do not bill insurance companies directly
• Coverage and reimbursement amounts vary by plan
• Reimbursement is determined solely by your insurer
• Services are not discounted based on anticipated coverage

We are happy to provide consistent documentation to support your submission.

Our Approach

We aim to provide a clinical environment that is structured, predictable, and respectful.
Appointments are standardized to ensure both treatment effectiveness and accurate documentation over time.

Questions are always welcome as we want you to understand the process, timeline, and expectations before starting.

If you would like to discuss treatment planning or documentation requirements, please contact us prior to scheduling so we can guide you appropriately.
